Since then, every time I turn on my wireless card, whether there is a signal in range or not, it causes my computer to blue screen and shut down. My computer has been successfully connected for almost an hour. I did a Google search and found several threads about it, some in this forum. I've tried just using the Intel Wifi 5300 drivers from Intels website instead of the ones found on lenovos.

Right clicked and disabled anything to do with the W200 card. She used to have an IBM Thinkpad but it has recently broke down and her brother bought her an old Acer Travelmate 290 for use in the meantime.
