I have that same problem. Windows 7 Blue Screen On Startup then same route for starting normally. I tried to do the F8 thingy, but it does the exact same thing.

Try to get the latest updated version of the device driver from the manufacturer website. Uncheck Automatically restart.With that change, Windows will no longer reboot when you tell it to shut down. To do this... 1. To my mind, that's stupid behavior, since it masks the actual problem.
