any ideas??? Actually, it's not ok to run chckdsk on that HDD, on another PC, because that PC has another hardware configuration. Unless you have a specific reason to do so, the system resources that an individual piece of hardware is configured to use in Device Manager should be set to default. There are some fixes available that void the warranty on the drive, so I wouldn't recommend them.
