it worked.was using windows7 on compaq presario v3000. HP Compaq Presario V3000 dont have a AHCI or IDE at BIOS. Please any other option to retrieve this task. just diable that and restart ur installing ,.

Should I keep on using "compatibility" setting? Take out the hard disk and see if it has any jumper pins on it.
