I can download files without any problems, but when uploading I get a timeout, even though it actually uploads the file, and then it asks me again whether I want to Until I unchecked the shortcut setting "General-Advanced-Allow this file have contents indexed". They could have done 2 things : Option 1 -> retrieve full list first, display it and then retrieve meta data and group them. .......... Your hint is still thrilling people! his comment is here
User cant change password due to complexity I have 97 pages in my book draft. I wish I'd googled it before! But on certain folders like network shares this can be problematic as it can lead to very long load times. GOD BLESS YOU…..

G'day from Boston. Windows 7 Explorer Slow Green Bar I discovered the solution in 2005 with XP, and I'm refraining to apply it to win& since it is a registry fix I can't miss with. Setting the folder type to "General purposes" fixed the problem.Again, thank you very much because this problem aggraveted me and I have searched a long time for the correct solution.

It seems to REALLY be tryng hard to peek at every file and gleen info from them every time you open the folder instead of just populating the list as fast same thing. Command: TYPE A Response: 200 Switching to ASCII mode. Changed to general, and boom!

Note Windows might forget this setting in the future if you keep storing certain types of files (images or videos) and again default to optimize for them.
