That being said, if the Short Drive Self Test fails, it's almost a certainty that the long/extended test will also fail. And then blamed the kernel (ntoskrnl) which is pretty much a catch all. We're looking for zero errors here. I used bluescreenviewer and opened the dump file and it said caused by driver: ntoskrnl.exe.
